^ agrees with Lyra - they (EW) let us choose, they didnt have to, so I dont really see a problem with EW getting their names on the builds.

And its really, really nice to have decent builds, just tweak them a bit. RA is already improved.

Well the healing light monk is JR-'s. I think Anet removed the credit in the title from him.

S'ok...^^ we all know its yours.

ANet wants EW to choose 12 builds, which include 3 builds with all skills, 3 with core skills, 3 with Prophecies skills and 3 with Factions skills. That's why they can't add all popular builds to premade. And they also said before that it limits their builds and thus many builds are even not really good as they want. So people still need to edit builds a bit if they want to use them.

I appreciate the new premades. Solid, current builds are much better than ones that were considered good 12 months ago, if ever. Totally new players should be able to jump into RA and learn good concepts like stance cancelling from their build instead of bad ones like gimping a warrior's damage output.

I'm simply complaining about EW getting credit for builds which they never designed. If you designed a build and someone else took all the credit for it, would you be happy? Anet should change their wording, instead of

''Designed by Esoteric Warriors'' to
''Put forward by Esoteric Warriors''

If they want to credit EW for making the builds, take all the builds away and put a FoC spiker in their, then shove Designed by EW underneath it.

1) Noone "designs" a build...whenver you think of a cool build, I can GAURENTEE you that like 1000 other people have thought about doing the same thing.

2) They got credit because they submitted it..If you made something and wanted the credit..you submit it first. Thats how things go. Just like people "stealing" other peoples inventions because the first person didnt patent it..

I don't have a free slot to check the builds out, anyone know where I can see the new premades? Thanks in advance.

EW was asked to present ArenaNet with some solid premades, they did so, therefore, the builds are attributed to them. That was their prize for their tournament win - being immortalized in the builds used by newbies. I see nothing wrong with this.

If you want to see "original" builds, check out the previous set of premades.

On another note, HA-specific builds are generally terrible in any other kind of format, while the arenas and gvg don't have retarded mechanics that drive weird build design. The arenas and gvg generally welcome solid builds that deviate from one single narrow purpose, so it makes sense to design builds around those modes. Not to mention that all the premades need to be usable in randoms, because that's where most newbies start out.

Ya, i think the credit was kinda screwd up here, since these common builds werent really designed by the warriors, but other people most likely. Also it kinda make me alittle mad that they went and named them different names... i mean shock axe = shock axe... they just tried to make it sound "unique" with the whole warrior's(or axe?) theory thing which is just so it sounds new...

dunno we are gonna be seeing alot of crappy-a$$ , yet good builded newbs around guildwars now... i mean its good that now we have these builds, since i generally have to remake my char alot, now i can just click on of them and mod it alittle depending on my situation - since i use those types of builds alot... but it kinda makes me feel like a nubbin now, knowing that eveyone is going to be using these. NOW my pve boon prot doesnt even feel special anymore!!... before eveyone used it, but most of them knew what they were doing, now there are gona be hecka around and alot of them will be disgracing the boon prot culture!!! ahhhg lol. i feel so newb....

one of the prizes of the championship was the chance for the champion guild to design its own premades and show it to the world. so personal and original ideas should've been put in but they did otherwise, which is not bad but yea, the prize was just wasted.

and now, designed by EW? wtf. we know what happened. a.net please edit the typos. :P

Designed by EW = false.
Submitted by EW = true.

If these builds had a speck of creativity or originiality, then sure, use "designed". But since they're the same, standard cookie cutter GvG builds that we've seen for months now, I really don't see how EW should be given credit for "designing" them.

They "submitted" them, though, and that's undeniable fact.

i think they should have left it the way it was, there was some cool stuff, omg Abominable Snowman = teh PWN!!!11

(shoot me)

i think that above anything else, the profession changer makes everything sooo much better, i dont really care what builds they put up, as long as i can take one for an elite i dont have or something, and change pretty much everything else. It's just more 'modern' stuff, and its easier to make your own.
